Hjortetakk - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 cube butter
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. kjortonsalt (Scandinavian store)
    about 2 lb. shortening (for frying)
Preparation
    Beat sugar and egg well.
    Melt butter and cool.
    Add sifted flour and hjortonsalt and add to mixture.
    Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
    Roll dough in long sticks the thickness of your finger.
    Cut and make circles with the ends crossing each other.
    Fry as doughnuts.
