Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium pkg. red beans
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    ham bone
    1 lb. salt pork
    1 pod garlic
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Soak beans in water for 2 hours.
    Heat fat in pot and saute onion, garlic and green pepper.
    Add beans, ham bone and salt pork to boiling water and simmer slowly for 3 to 4 hours or until done. Season to taste and add parsley.
    Serve with hot rice.
