Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix flour with baking powder, salt and soda; add nuts.
    Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat and add sugar.
    Blend in egg and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture a small amount at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    Spread in an ungreased 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with chips.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cool, then cut in bars.
    Makes 16 to 24 bars.
