Mexican Rice And Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion
    1 (16 oz.) jar mild picante sauce
    2 c. water
    1 small can chopped green chilies (mild)
    1 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
    1 lb. smoked sausage
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until tender.
    Add picante sauce, water and green chilies.
    Bring to a boil; then add rice.
    Bring to simmer. Add smoked sausage that has been sliced.
    Cover and simmer until rice is done.
    Stir occasionally.
