Roman Summer Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 Tbsp. olive oil
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 good sized cut of basil, chopped
    1 good sized cut Italian parsley, chopped
    6 fresh, firm, ripe tomatoes, peeled and cut in eights
    pasta of your choice
    grated cheese
    crushed pepper
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onion in oil.
    Add remaining ingredients, except tomatoes and pasta, and simmer.
    Add tomatoes and heat through.
    Cook pasta and drain.
    Add sauce and heat for a minute or two.
    Serve with grated cheese and crushed pepper.
