Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter and shortening (mixed)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. soda
    plain flour to make stiff dough
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    and
    shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses. Dissolve
    soda in water.
    Add to mixture.
    Add spices, salt and soda water.
    Add flour to make stiff dough.
    Chill dough.
    Roll out thin
    and
    cut\tor
    roll in small balls and press on cookie sheet with fork.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 until set, approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack.
