Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut in 2 x 1/2-inch strips
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. green pepper strips
    1/4 c. thinly sliced onion
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown pork in 2 tablespoons fat. Add water.
    Cover and simmer until tender. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
    Combine brown sugar and cornstarch.
    Add syrup, vinegar, soy sauce and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Pour over hot cooked pork.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Add pineapple, green pepper and onion.
    Cook 2 or 3 minutes.
    Serve over chow mein noodles or rice.
