Family-Style Salmon Croquettes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can salmon
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    3/4 c. corn flake crumbs
Preparation
    Drain salmon and reserve liquid.
    Flake the salmon and set aside.
    Melt butter in saucepan, then add onion and green pepper and saute for 10 minutes.
    Stir in flour.
    Remove from heat and stir in the reserved salmon liquid.
    Cook over low heat until mixture leaves sides of pan, stirring constantly.
    Beat in the potatoes, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce, then stir in the salmon.
    Cool, then chill thoroughly.
    Shape into croquettes. Beat the egg with the milk, then dip the croquettes in the egg mixture and coat thoroughly with the crumbs.
    Fry in deep fat at 365\u00b0 for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
    Drain on absorbent paper.
