Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. shortening
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour.
Cut in shortening.
Add sugar and sweet potatoes. Stir in milk.
Use a little more flour, if necessary, to make stiff dough.
Knead lightly on floured board.
Roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into biscuits.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until lightly browned. Butter while hot and serve.
