Toll House Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 c. oatmeal
2 eggs
1 tsp. hot water
1 c. nut meats or 1 c. raisins
2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt; set aside.
Blend together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat.
Stir in water and vanilla.
Add flour mixture and mix well.
Stir in nut meats or raisins, chocolate bits and oatmeal.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
