Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. bran flakes
1 c. boiling water
2 c. whole-bran cereal
2 c. buttermilk
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. unsulphured molasses
Preparation

Combine bran flakes and boiling water in medium bowl and set aside to cool.
Combine whole-bran cereal and buttermilk in medium bowl and set aside.
Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt on wax paper.
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy in large bowl. Beat in eggs and molasses.
Stir in bran flake mixture and alternate with flour mixture until evenly moist.
Stir in buttermilk mixture.
Spoon batter into 1 or more refrigerator containers and cover tightly.
Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0 and bake 18 to 20 minutes when ready to use.
