Aunt Gracie'S Brine Pickles(A Salty Crunchy Pickle) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. water
    3 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. salt
    pinch of alum (powder)
    cucumbers
Preparation
    Wash, slice or cut
    or leave whole cucumbers.
    Put them in canning jars.
    Bring to boil water, vinegar and salt.
    Add a tiny pinch of powdered alum to each jar.
    Pour hot mixture over pickles and then seal.
    Ready to eat in about 4 to 6 weeks.
