Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. onions
    2 lb. hot peppers
    5 lb. tomatoes
    3 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3/4 to 1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop or grind peppers and onions.
    Peel tomatoes or use canned tomatoes.
    Add onions and pepper to chopped tomatoes.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Seal in pint or half-pint jars.
    Process 15 minutes, if desired.
    Makes 6 to 8 pints.
