Savory Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 303) can shredded kraut
    1 tart apple, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in saucepan.
    Cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat.
    Simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
