Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. dark molasses
    4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    3 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add molasses and sifted dry ingredients.
    Roll into 1-inch balls.
    Dip in sugar.
    Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart.
    Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 15 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen.
