Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small pkg. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped pecans
    3 c. dry Rice Krispies
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix the first 6 ingredients together; cook for 10 minutes on low heat (slow boil stage).
    Easy to scorch; stir often.
    Remove from heat.
    Add the Rice Krispies.
    Chill mixture.
    Shape into balls (size of walnut).
    Roll in powdered sugar.
