Crusty Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising meal
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 or 2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
-
Blend first 3 ingredients.
Add next two ingredients.
Heat bacon drippings in an iron skillet; pour half into cornmeal mixture.
Use rest for cooking.
Bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
