Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
    1 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
    4 oz. lean ground beef or ground turkey
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. finely chopped carrot
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (8 oz.) can low sodium tomato paste
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. basil, crushed
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 lasagna noodles
    1 slightly beaten egg white
    1 c. low-fat cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese
Preparation
    Sauce:
    In a medium saucepan, cook meat, onion, carrot and garlic until meat is brown.
    Drain.
    Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water, basil, oregano, fennel, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Meanwhile cook noodles according to directions and drain.
