Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 oz. Maxwell House instant coffee
    1 1/2 qt. boiling water
    6 c. sugar
    2 oz. vanilla
    1 qt. Everclear grain alcohol
    1/2 fifth more water
Preparation
    Steep coffee in 1 1/2 quarts of boiling water.
    Combine the sugar and 1 quart boiled water and cook for 1/2 hour.
    Cool.
    Mix coffee and sugar mixtures together.
    Add vanilla, alcohol and 1/2 fifth more water to make 1 gallon.
    May be served over cracked ice or vanilla ice cream.
