Butterscotch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter (not margarine)
    1 lb. sugar
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Boil butter and sugar for a few minutes, then stir in white vinegar.
    Keep spooning a few drops of cool water every few seconds.
    When drops become crisp upon hitting the water, remove the pan from heat.
    Add baking soda and beat until gloss disappears.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Cool.
