Carol'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and Karo syrup until it spins a thread when poured from a spoon.
    Add peanuts; cook until light brown.
    Remove from heat; add soda and stir thoroughly.
    Pour immediately into a greased cookie sheet.
    After it cools completely, break up with a spoon.
