Sauce For Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, diced
Preparation
    Brown bacon until crisp; remove from pan.
    Keep for garnish. Add flour to grease and blend until smooth.
    Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil, stirring constantly.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Makes enough for about 5 pounds potatoes.
    May be kept in refrigerator and reheated as needed. Also good over beets and beans.
