French Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 large lettuce leaves
    2 lb. fresh peas, shelled
    2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions or scallions
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cover the bottom and sides of a 10-inch skillet with some of the moist lettuce leaves.
    Top with peas, green onions, sugar, salt and pepper and dot with butter.
    Cover skillet and cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes.
    Remove lettuce leaves.
    Toss peas well before serving.
    Makes 4 servings.
