Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. chopped pecans
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda in milk
3 1/2 c. flour (reserve 1/2 c. to dredge candy, raisins, pecans and coconut)
1 lb. orange slice candy
1 c. raisins or dates
1 c. coconut

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time, beat after each one.
Add buttermilk, soda and flour.
Add 1/2 candy that has been cut in thin slices, also raisins, pecans and coconut that have been dredged with flour.
Mix all ingredients together. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 or until done when tested with toothpick.
