Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. sour milk
    1 c. bananas, mashed
Preparation
    If ingredients are room temperature, they may all be put into the bowl at once and mixed.
    If not, use the usual procedure for baking a cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in two 8-inch layers or a 9 x 13-inch oblong pan for 35 minutes or until done.
