Czech-Style Macaroni With Cream Of Wheat - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. elbow macaroni
salt
4 to 5 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1/2 c. Cream of Wheat
black pepper (optional)
Preparation

Cook macaroni in salted boiling water according to directions on package.
Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
Cook until tender but firm.
Do not overcook.
Meanwhile, melt 4 to 5 tablespoons of margarine or butter in skillet over medium heat. Add Cream of Wheat.
Stir constantly until Cream of Wheat browns, being careful not to let it scorch.
When macaroni is done, drain well and add to Cream of Wheat-margarine mixture.
Toss to coat macaroni with browned Cream of Wheat and serve.
Black pepper may be added, if desired.
Very tasty!
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
