Cheese Breadsticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning or oregano
    1 c. extra sharp cheese
    2/3 c. fresh milk or equal parts water and evaporated milk
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. water
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Combine all ingredients except egg and water; stir until mixture doesn't stick to the bowl.
    Knead dough for about 1 minute very lightly.
    Divide into 24 equal pieces. Roll into 6-inch ropes and twist 2 ropes together.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Make an egg wash with the egg and water; brush on breadsticks.
    Bake for 12 to 17 minutes.
    Remove as soon as sticks become a light golden brown color.
