Ingredients

1 egg white
pinch of cream of tartar
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves (ground)
1/4 tsp. mace
3/4 tsp. salt
dash of fresh ground pepper
2 1/2 c. walnut pieces
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, beat egg white and cream of tartar until it forms stiff peaks.
Beat in 1 tablespoon water and 1/2 cup sugar. Then add in cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ground cloves, mace, salt and pepper.
Mix it all up, folding in the walnuts.
Spread out on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes.
Cool and store in a tin.
