Red Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Make paste of coloring and cocoa.
Add to mixture. Add salt, buttermilk, flour and vanilla. Beat. Remove from mixer. Add vinegar and soda. Mix, but don't beat. Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
