Granny Mangham'S Chicken And Dumplins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 fryers or 2 hens
    1 1/2 large onions, chopped
    3 makings biscuit dough
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place chicken in large pot or pressure cooker with enough water to cover.
    When done, remove the skin and bones.
    Add onion to broth.
    Make a stiff biscuit dough.
    Roll out on floured board until very thin.
    Cut into 3-inch strips.
    Drop into boiling broth. Reduce heat and simmer a few minutes.
    Salt and pepper to taste. If broth is too thin, add a little flour to thicken.

    Now, you do the rest.\"
    This makes enough for \"dinner on the grounds.\"
