Rum Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 large egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 Tbsp. rum
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
    Add egg and mix well.
    Dissolve the baking soda in the rum; add to mixture.
    Sift salt with the flour and combine with the mixture.
    Add the raisins and walnuts; mix well.
    Drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly brown.
    Makes 3 dozen.
