Sweet And Sour Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 heads broccoli
    1 large red onion
    8 oz. bacon
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. champagne vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash broccoli. Cut off florets, discarding the stems.
    Place in large mixing bowl.
    Slice the onions into thin slivers and add to the bowl.
    In a saute pan or microwave oven, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Dice and add to bowl.
    Add the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; mix well.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour until well chilled.
    Serve cold. Serves 8.
