Red Carpet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (2 oz.) red food color
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/4 c. flour

Preparation

Cream sugar, eggs and shortening.
Mix food color and color mixture.
Mix vinegar and soda.
Add dry ingredients and milk. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.
