Lemon Meringue Nests - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. egg whites (3 or 4)
dash of salt
3/4 c. plus 2/3 c. sugar
4 drops lemon extract
3 egg yolks
grated lemon rind
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 c. whipped cream
Preparation

Mix salt and egg whites.
Beat until stiff.
Beat in 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Beat in lemon extract.
Drop meringue onto brown paper lined baking sheet.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes until golden.
Reduce oven to 250\u00b0.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes longer until dry and lightly browned.
Cool.
