Apple Pirog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced apples, peeled
    1 Tbsp. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    4 eggs
    1 pie shell
Preparation
    Cook apples and water until soft in a tightly covered pot. Takes about 10 minutes.
    Mash apples when they are soft.
    Add sugar, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon and lemon juice to the apples. Beat the eggs slightly in a large bowl.
    Add the apple mixture to the eggs.
    Blend well.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until knife inserted in the end comes out clear.
