Nobby Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each: salt, baking powder, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 c. diced apples

Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add beaten egg, vanilla and sifted dry ingredients.
Fold in nuts and diced apples.
Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and bake at 250\u00b0 for about 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold, with or without whipped cream or ice cream.
