Plain Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cake of butter or (1/4 lb.)
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar well.
    Add eggs.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to mixture with milk.
    Blend well and add flavoring.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Pour into greased and floured cake pans.
