Baked Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. cloves, ground
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped apples
Preparation
    Soak raisins in hot water.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Beat eggs until light and foamy.
    Gradually add sugar to eggs and continue to beat until mixture is pale in color and thick in texture.
    Do not underbeat.
    Drain raisins.
    Add water and vanilla to egg mixture.
    Fold in dry ingredients.
    Add apples and raisins.
    Pour batter into a 9-inch square pan, sprayed with nonstick spray. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
    Yields 9 servings.
