My Favorite Hot Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening or oleo
    1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
    1 egg
    6 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over sugar, salt and shortening.
    Stir until shortening is melted.
    Let cool to lukewarm.
    Add dissolved yeast.
    Add egg and mix well.
    Add flour to make soft dough. Cover tightly and put in refrigerator until ready to use.
    When ready to use, punch down.
    Shape into balls and put in a pan or cookie sheet.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 or 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes or until brown.
