Tomato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato juice or puree
    1/4 c. boiling water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. (1-inch) bread squares
    1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Can use crumbled bacon, browned and drained, and a little onion.
