Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    beets
Preparation
    Wash beets and put in large pot.
    Pour enough water over them to cover and cook until tender.
    When done, skin and quarter.
    Put into jars.
    Heat vinegar, water and sugar together.
    Pour over beets in jars and seal.
