Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine margarine, brown sugar, sugar and evaporated milk in large saucepan; mix well.
    Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Boil for 15 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour into large mixer bowl.
    Beat at high speed until smooth.
    Spread over cake layers.
