Buttermilk White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
    Add butter, shortening, vanilla and 3/4 cup buttermilk.
    Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed on electric mixer.
    Add remaining buttermilk and egg whites.
    Beat 2 minutes more.
    Bake in two greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2-inch round pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool for 10 minutes.
    Remove from pans.
    Cool.
