Claremont Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage
    2 green peppers
    1 to 2 onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. sugar or Sweet 'N Low
    2/3 c. water
    2 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. salt (optional)
    1 c. oil
    2 cucumbers
    minced garlic
Preparation
    Cut vegetables; add garlic and marinate.
    Cover and refrigerate 3 days.
    Mix once or twice daily.
