Pottsfield Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pt. chopped green tomatoes (10 to 12)
    3 pt. chopped ripe tomatoes
    3 pt. chopped cabbage
    3 pt. chopped onions
    3 pt. chopped sweet green peppers
    2 bunches chopped celery
    1/2 c. salt
    3 pt. vinegar
    3 pt. sugar
    1/2 c. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Put vegetables (with skins) through grinder.
    Mix together with salt and let stand overnight.
    Drain.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook 2 hours.
    Seal in sterilized jars.
    Makes 16 to 17 pints. (You may add more tomatoes, onions and peppers, if desired.)
