Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pk. green tomatoes (16 lb.)
    6 large onions
    6 red sweet peppers
    2 c. sugar
    1 qt. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 bunch celery, washed and chopped
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Grind tomatoes, peppers and onions.
    Cover with salt and let stand overnight.
    Drain in morning and add the other ingredients. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking on bottom.
    Add chopped celery and cook 10 minutes.
    Put up in sterilized pint or quart jars and seal.
    Makes 10 to 12 pints.
