Asparagus Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. crushed Ritz crackers
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    2 large cans asparagus spears, drained (reserve liquid)
    1/2 c. almonds
    1 (2 1/2 oz.) can deviled ham (optional)
Preparation
    Combine cheese and crackers.
    Mix butter, soup and reserved asparagus liquid together.
    Add ham, if desired.
    Layer in casserole dish in this order:
    cheese and cracker mixture, asparagus spears, almonds and half of soup mixture.
    Repeat layers, ending with cracker mixture on top.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    This can bake longer.
    (Good for suppers that wait.)
