Minted Melon Medley - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lime juice
    1 tsp. chopped mint leaves
    1/2 tsp. anise seed
    dash of salt
    5 c. peeled cantaloupe slices
    3 c. peeled peach slices
    2 c. blueberries
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, lime juice, chopped mint, anise seed and salt.
    Place in small saucepan; bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes.
    Cover and steep 10 minutes.
    Cool and then chill.
    Place fruit in bowl and strain syrup over fruit to remove anise seed. Cover and chill 2 hours or until ready to serve.
    Makes 10 servings.
