Mushroom Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. pork steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    2 to 3 large green peppers, cubed bite size
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 large can tomato sauce
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced or 1 large can stems and pieces
    2 cloves garlic, chopped or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    seasonings to taste (salt, pepper, Italian seasoning blends)
    water as needed
Preparation
    Brown pork cubes in oil in a 6-quart Dutch oven.
    Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Simmer 2 hours.
    Add water if necessary during simmering.
