Corn And Shrimp Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. salt pork, sliced
    2 onions, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped celery and tops
    3 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    3 Tbsp. finely diced carrot
    1/2 bay leaf, crumbled
    2 Tbsp. flour
    4 c. water
    3 c. diced potatoes
    1 can (16 oz.) creamed corn
    1 c. whole corn
    2 c. evaporated milk
    1 lb. shelled shrimp, cooked
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry pork until crisp.
    Remove from grease and pour off all but 3 tablespoons.
    Add next 5 ingredients and cook 5 minutes.
    Blend in flour.
    Add water and potatoes.
    Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes.
    Add corn, milk and shrimp.
    Heat well, but do not boil as milk will curdle.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add pork.
